ABOUT

Hello!

I am thrilled to be teaching DC Literature and AP Seminar this year at CHS.  I am a proud 1980 graduate of Conroe High School, and returned to my alma mater to teach in 2003. Previously, I taught in Coldspring and New Waverly here in Texas, and for Colorado's District 60 at Pueblo County High School.

In addition to graduating from Conroe High, I received a BA in English from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and my teaching certification and MEd. in Secondary Education (Plan 2, English and Art) from Sam Houston State University.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover."  - Mark Twain
Continuing Education

I continue to attend workshops and seminars. In 2006, I was privileged to attend a National Endowment for the Humanities Seminar, studying Medieval literature with educators from 14 other states on the Isle of Man and at Pembroke College, Cambridge University.  I also have attended AP workshops at Rice University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Worcester College, Oxford.
